A Lebanese Beiruti leader of the independence generation, famous for his white carnations and cigars. He assumed the presidency of the Lebanese government for the first time during the era of Bechara El Khoury. Saeb Bey was one of the fiercest opponents of President Camille Chamoun and a supporter of Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser. The absolute is the slogan “There is neither winner nor loser” after the 1958 revolution, and “understanding and understanding” at the beginning of the Lebanese war.
