Dagher was born in Tannourine, LebanonShe moved to Cairo in 1919, when she was only 11 years old, after the French occupation of Syria and Lebanon. He obtained Egyptian nationality in 1933.The first time he played was in 1926 in a film called Laila, directed by Wadad Orfi.
Dagher was the first Lebanese to appear on the big screen. He has produced over 100 films and only starred in 20 of them. For a young woman to break into the world of directing, acting and film production in the twenties of the last century means that she is adventurous and daring. Dagher, along with Ahmed Galal and Mary Queenie, formed an artistic trinity and founded the Lotus Company. Dagher was the first to produce an Egyptian film in color entitled “Red My Heart” in 1958. Her last production was “Diaries in the Countryside” in 1969.
