Akl is a Lebanese author, poet and linguist. He is taken into consideration one of the maximum essential current Lebanese poets. He is also a strong advocate of Lebanese identification and nationalism and the Lebanese language, by developing a “Lebanese alphabet” based on Latin and composed of 37 letters. On the age of 15, he needed to drop out of college and later labored as a trainer, after which as a journalist. He then studied theology, literature and Islamic history, turning into a college teacher and eventually lecturing in some of Lebanese universities, instructional and coverage institutes. Said Akl has written as a journalist for several media, including the Lebanese newspaper AlJarida and the weekly AlSayyad. In the 1990s, Akl also wrote a personal column on the front page of the Lebanese newspaper AsSafir.
